EDG Sistemi was founded in 2008 by two partners with twenty-five years of software development for industrial weighing, process control and automation systems. Today it designs custom management software for Windows, Android, Apple and Unix, and shop-floor automation: scales, label printers, handheld terminals and RFID readers connected to a single system, from the warehouse to invoicing.

AIEDG programs integrate artificial intelligence: help with use, and searches and printouts created on the spot.

The green Help button sits in the bar of every screen. The operator types the question in their own words and language; the answer comes from the program manual, with the steps, the chapter and the button that opens the right screen.

Created on the spot, from the program data. The blue Report button takes the request written in words and prepares the search: it picks the data, does the sums, checks the totals and states what it counted. Then the preview and the PDF printout.

Report from the dataThe request in words, the tiles with the totals, the first rows and “How the figures were calculated”. PDF printout and “Save report” to repeat it without artificial intelligence.

The assistant is powered by Claude, by Anthropic, with the company's key. It lives in the office program: it is not on the phone or on the handheld.

The point of sale and the cash recycler stop being two separate things: the amount goes across by itself, the customer pays and takes the change, the outcome comes back to the screen.

How we work

From the sensor
to the invoice.

An EDG installation always has the same backbone: the shop-floor machines write, an agent connects them to the server, the server serves every workstation and talks to the outside world. The same data is entered once and reaches everywhere, without retyping.

    The machines produce the data: a weight, a reading, a print. Scales, PLCs, printers and RFID antennas, each with its own protocol.

    Bridge
